Green Mountain Beach

  Beach
These plants were planted at the Town Beach (Green Mountain Beach) to prevent erosion and damage to Lake Raponda.

This is a joint project of the Town of Wilmington and the Vermont Deparment of Environmental Conservation's Lake Wise Program.  Lake Wise coordinator Amy Picotte and her Youth Corps team created the natural setting for these plants.

This effort was spearheaded by LRA member Jack Widness.  Interim Town Manager Gretchen Havreluk and Highway Department Head Bob Hunt have been instrumental in making it happen.
